3. Local Browser Storage Usage

Word Crypt is built as an offline-capable browser platform. To persist your puzzle solving accomplishments, daily streak information, custom dark/light theme preferences, and card state history, the games write local progress parameters directly onto your machine using:

• localStorage: Storing high scores, completed streak tallies, solved puzzle counts, and German/French/Italian/Russian/Spanish learning card ratings.
• sessionStorage: Holding temporary gaming states to track active rounds and tile positions.

All database operations occur inside your browser container. We have no access to your progress records, and clearing your browser storage will instantly erase all accumulated site settings.

4. Third-Party Hosting and Integration

Our project is compiled as a static website hosted on serverless infrastructure. The hosting network may capture anonymous server hits (such as HTTP request headers, browser user agents, and IP addresses) strictly for secure logging, rate limiting, and defensive security measures.

Our feedback and support contact portal is powered by Formspree. When you submit a query via the contact form, the details you write (your name, email address, subject, and message) are safely processed by Formspree to reach our inbox. We use this data only to respond to your queries.

5. Data Retention & Security

Since we do not hold user databases or account servers, data retention is managed completely by your browser's configuration. We recommend maintaining regular browser security updates. If you choose to contact us via email, we only retain the correspondence logs to address your questions.
